Mohammad Rezwanur Rahman, 27
Asia Regional Coordinator, Coalition for Sexual and Bodily Rights – Bangladesh
Rezwan is the Asia Regional Coordinator for the Coalition of Sexual and Bodily Rights in Bangladesh. He also currently volunteers as a Project Coordinator, Inclusive Bangladesh at the Commonwealth Youth and Gender Equality Network. Through his work, Rezwan conducts employability skill development projects for the vulnerable youths living in the rural and remote areas of Bangladesh.
Rezwan has experience coordinating and facilitating training courses on a range on subjects including feminism, strategic convening, and activist capacity building on supporting bodily rights as human rights in Muslim societies.. His vision is to encourage young people to empower each other by actively performing roles in making a sustainable, sensible and tranquil choices through promoting peacebuilding. Rezwan has been working to ensure quality education, address hate speech and violent extremism, promote interfaith dialogue and gender diversity with the active participation of youth across Bangladesh.
Rezwan holds a degree in Business Administration from Khulna University, Bangladesh. He was a fellow of Acumen Bangladesh Cohort 2021. He has co-authored a research paper on youth peacebuilding in the South Asian region and has written three books on employability skills development, gender diversity and mental well-being of people from different psychosocial perspectives.
Rezwan has been working to ensure quality education, address hate speech and violent extremism, promote interfaith dialogue and gender diversity with the active participation of youth across Bangladesh.
Rezwan loves to travel and have conversations with local people to understand the life and culture of people living in different regions. He is also passionate about photography.
