Isabela Karibjanian is a student at the University of Oxford, where she is pursuing a Master of Science in Global Governance & Diplomacy.
At the Public International Law & Policy Group (PILPG)—a pro bono global law firm that provides free legal assistance to parties involved in peace negotiations, drafting post-conflict constitutions, and transitional justice—she currently works as Junior Peace Fellow, collaborating with President Dr. Paul R. Williams as the co-author of the forthcoming book "Negotiating Justice."
She previously worked as a Research Fellow on Justice, Peace, and Security at PILPG, contributing research, editing, and drafting to the publication of two books, the Research Handbook on Post-Conflict State Building (2020) and Lawyering Peace (2021). At PILPG, she was a lead author of “Negotiating Justice: Peace Processes as Vehicles for Transitional Justice” (2021).
Isabela is passionate about inclusive conflict resolution, human rights, and democratic participation both domestically and internationally. Her work is motivated by a desire to forge a more peaceful, just, and equitable future by fundamentally transforming systems and structures designed to oppress and benefit the privileged few. She is a graduate of Brown University, where she studied International Relations.
